Historical Turku with a guide

In Turku, you can find the monumental Turku Castle and the Turku Cathedral, where Finnish cultural history has been formed all the way from the medieval times. On this tour, you get to visit both together with our experienced guide and also see more of this beautiful town by the River Aura. Optional: we can visit the Aboa Vetus Museum where you can find some ruins and lots of artifacts from the 1400s historical town center. 

The tour starts at the Turku Cathedral, which has been standing since the end of the 1200s and has significant stories to tell. Then we continue and walk to the Great Old Square with the old medieval street; and further explore the Old Turku. Later, we will hop on a local bus and travel towards the river mouth where the Turku Castle was built in the 13th Century. We visit the Castle and you will hear how it has been linked to Finnish history during the centuries.
